This collaboration, announced on December 19, facilitates the creation of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) for music at reduced gas fees, leveraging Base’s status as an Ethereum layer 2. Sound(dot)xyz highlighted the advantages of faster transactions and lower costs for artists, enabling them to upload and withdraw without the need to buy crypto or bridge their funds.
