Resonance Security, a blockchain security firm, is introducing a new tool aimed at assisting web3 protocols in combating DNS and CDN manipulations. The tool is designed to continuously capture snapshots of the web state, including DNS records and scripts of cryptocurrency websites, to swiftly detect any unauthorized modifications in real-time.
According to a press release shared with crypto.news, the newly launched tool named “Harmony” aims to empower crypto investors in identifying early CDN hijackings and DNS manipulations. These tactics are increasingly utilized by malicious actors to create fraudulent websites and steal personal information.
Resonance Security CEO Charles Dray emphasized that Harmony will assist projects in preventing DNS takeovers and safeguarding sensitive assets from exploitation by black-hat hacking groups.
“The objective is to ensure that organizations can maintain robust cybersecurity measures amidst constantly evolving cyber threats.”

DNS hijacking has become increasingly popular among cybercriminals as a preferred attack method. Recent incidents involving compromised domains, such as those impacting protocols like Celer Network and Compound Finance, highlight the susceptibility of crypto websites to these attacks. While the full scope of these attacks is not yet clear, security analysts suggest that around 11 platforms, including Pendle Finance, Polymarket, and THORChain, could still be vulnerable targets.
Paradigm’s anonymous researcher known as “samczsun” indicated that the hacks are suspected to have originated from Google Domains accounts linked to these protocols. Last year, Squarespace acquired Google Domains in a transaction valued at $180 million.
Resonance Security states that their latest solution leverages artificial intelligence to analyze findings and reduce false positives, thereby streamlining research efforts for both customers and Resonance’s incident response team.
