The NFT project Imaginary Ones is set to leverage Animoca Brands’ expertise and resources to enhance its tokenomics. Additionally, Animoca Brands will assist Imaginary Ones with its “go-to-market strategy,” as stated in the release.
Clement Chia, co-founder of Imaginary Ones, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Animoca Brands’ support will fast-track our plans in the three areas of utility, coins and development, which will help to unify Web2 and Web3 worlds and build on our promise that if you can imagine it, we can build it.”
As part of the collaboration, Imaginary Ones is planning an airdrop campaign for Imaginary Ones and Imaginary Rides NFT holders. The campaign will distribute the project’s native token, BUBBLE coin, scheduled to launch in Q1 of 2024.
Originally established as an IP company, Imaginary Ones has evolved into a Web3 entertainment company. The project’s inaugural NFT collection sold out in just four minutes in April 2022. Additionally, it partnered with fashion giant Hugo Boss in 2023, becoming the first Asian NFT project to collaborate with an international fashion brand. Furthermore, the project has introduced two web3 games, Bubble Rider and Bubble Rangers.
Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, praised Imaginary Ones’ achievements, stating, “Imaginary Ones has built a robust ecosystem, and its collaborations with industry giants such as Hugo Boss and Samsung are a reflection of the company’s visionary approach to help bridge the gap between the Web2 and Web3 industries.”
The announcement follows Animoca Brand’s investment into Imaginary Ones on February 29, 2024. However, the specific value of the investment remains undisclosed.
In addition to partnering with Imaginary Ones, Animoca Brands has also collaborated with BlockPass, a web3 firm developing KYC solutions for decentralized platforms. The partnership, announced on March 15, aims to address concerns related to AI deep fakes and identity theft.
